Cast Bio: Jesse Stock

Jesse-Stock-headshot-300St. Pete Opera Company is happy to welcome back Baritone JESSE STOCK. “A performer to keep an eye on in the future,” baritone Jesse Stock hails from the small town of Bennett, Iowa.  An up and coming talent, Mr. Stock’s resume includes several roles including Sir John Falstaff in Falstaff, Gianni Schicchi in Gianni Schicchi,  John Proctor in The Crucible, Tonio in Pagliacci, Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, The Bonze in Madama Butterfly, Jake Wallace in La fanciulla del West, Montano in Otello, and Dougald MacDougald in The Sojourner and Mollie Sinclair.  He has been praised for having an “incredibly rich, mature sound and known for his  “vocal strength and boldness.”

Mr. Stock has been featured in the Knoxville Opera studio program as well as Des Moines Metro Opera’s apprentice program.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Simpson College and completed a Masters in Voice from The University of Tennessee. Mr. Stock covered the role of Tonio in Pagliacci, and Ping in Turandot with St. Petersburg Opera, and has also covered the role of Gianni Schicchi  for the Savannah VOICE Festival.  He has also been seen as the baritone soloist in Ein Deutsches Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat, and Handel’s Messiah with the Mercersburg Community Chorus.
