Kelly Curtin, lyric coloratura soprano, has been praised for her “stunning soprano” (broadwayworld.com)and “divine high notes” (dcmetrotheaterarts.com).
She has performed such roles as Mabel (The Pirates of Penzance), Eurydice (Orfée aux Enfers), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Yum-yum (The Mikado), Le Feu and Le Rossignol (L’enfant et les sortilèges), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Frasquita (Carmen), Valencienne (The Merry Widow), Valentina (Later the Same Evening), Ms. Wordsworth (Albert Herring), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Rose (Street Scene), and Angelina (Trial by Jury).

The 2016-17 season began with Ms. Curtin’s appearance as a principal soloist in a remounted production of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber with the Riverside Center for the Performing Arts in Virginia, singing excerpts from The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, and Requiem. She received much acclaim in the original production and was marked as a “standout” for her “soaring soprano” (fredicksburg.com) in the most recent production.
The season continued with her performance of Debby in Opening Night: A Roadkill Opera with the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia with Maestro Jeffrey Dokken conducting. The remaining season includes her debut with Helena Symphony as their soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah; The Queen of the Night in an abridged version of The Magic Flute with the Aria Club of Washington DC; and her debut with St. Petersburg Opera Company as Olympia in our production of Les Contes d’Hoffmann.
