Cast Bio: Kristina Riegle

UntitledKristina Riegle is thrilled to be making her debut with St. Petersburg Opera in South Pacific. A crossover artist, Ms Riegle is quickly establishing herself as an exciting and engaging singing actor on the opera, theater and concert stages. Recent credits include making her company debuts with Resonance Works Pittsburgh as Dorothée in Cendrillon and Washington National Opera in the Ensemble of Wagner’s Der Fliegende Holländer. Notable opera credits include Little Women (Jo March), Cosi fan tutti (Dorabella), Le nozze de Figaro (Cherubino), and Carmen (Mércèdes).

On the theater stage, Ms. Riegle has performed in A Little Night Music (Desirée Armfeldt), Ragtime (Kathleen/Emma Goldman (u/s)), My Fair Lady (Servant Ensemble), Children of Eden (Storyteller), and The Merry Widow (Olga).  She has performed with an array of companies including Opera Camerata of Washington, The Kennedy Center, Cape Cod Opera, Opera Providence, Reagle Music Theatre, Fiddlehead Theatre Company, Boston Opera Collaborative, Tapestry Opera, and Opera Boston.

Ms. Riegle enjoys the process of developing new work. She participated last summer in the development workshop of Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin’s new musical HUZZAH! at Theatre Aspen.

In 2014, she was Thetis in A Fire in Water with Silver Finch Arts Collective on DC’s Capital Fringe Festival, and Madeline Usher in the World Premier of The Fall of the House of Usher: a New Musical with Pallas Theatre Collective. Other work includes developing the roles of Regan and Cornwall in Lear, a new opera by Michael Oberhauser, and Susan in the noir opera Lady Orchid by Dan Shore.
