Praised for his “Powerful voice” and “swagger onstage”, Bass-Baritone Peter Morgan has quickly developed a reputation as a well rounded and dynamic performer, amassing a diverse repertoire performing across the nation.
Highlights include Leporello in Don Giovanni, Figaro and Bartolo in Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Alfonso in Cosi fan tutte, Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Raimondo in Lucia Di Lammermoor, The Bonze in Madama Butterfly, and the title role in Sweeney Todd.
Mr. Morgan’s recent highlights include making his mainstage debut with the Lyric Opera of Chicago as 3rd Cockney in the “loverly” quartet in their production of My Fair Lady, as well as returning for a second year as a young artist for the Lyric Unlimited’s American premiere of The Scorpion’s Sting by Dean Burry.
In the winter of 2018 Peter returned to Sarasota Opera as a studio artist where he sang the role of the Naval Commander in Manon Lescaut, as well as covered Oroveso in their production of Norma. Mr Morgan is thrilled to be making his company debut with St. Petersburg Opera in one of his all time favorite Verdi operas.
