Phillip K. Bullock, a native of Washington DC, has been featured in productions, recitals and concerts throughout the United States. Phillip recently had the pleasure of covering the role of Jake in The Royal Danish Opera’s new production of Porgy and Bess in Copenhagen Denmark, and later went on to perform the same role at the Sächsische Staatsoper in Dresden, Germany.
This past season, Phillip was pleased to work with both Kentucky Opera and Sarasota Opera as a resident artist. He has also recently appeared as Figaro in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, Jake Wallace in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West, Rodrigue in Don Carlos, Valentin in Gounod’s Faust, Papageno in The Magic Flute, and John Brook in Mark Adamo’s Little Women.
Phillip has both premiered and workshopped several leading roles in new commissioned works with arts organizations from around the country, most recently including Ike ‘Flight’ Harris in Bounce: The Basketball Opera with Ardea Arts. This past summer Phillip had the pleasure of soloing with the National Music Festival in their concerts of the Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and Kurt Weil’s 7 Deadly Sins. We’re glad to welcome Phillip back to our stage.
