![]() | Hailed as witty and wildly romantic, A Little Night Music tells the story of a tangled web of former and current lovers among the elite upper crust of Sweden. The famous, and fading, actress, Desiree Armfeldt, is the central character in this tale of liaisons, secret passions and a hope for true love. Sondheim's evocative lyrics about love and relationships are set to melodious and memorable waltzes. Sondheim was inspired by the operetta styles of Franz Lehar and Johann Strauss Jr, when composing the music for the Tony Award winning musical. |
![]() | Destinies collide in Verdi's tragic opera, Rigoletto. The womanizing Duke of Mantua and his vengeful court jester, Rigoletto, weave a fascinating drama of seduction, betrayal, curses and vendettas.
