St. Petersburg Opera announces auditions for select roles (Mayor Shinn, Charlie Cowell, Constable Locke, and Train Conductor) in The Music Man.

Mayor Shinn – A blustery politician who is all too “self-important”. Begrudgingly married to Eulalie, he is skeptical of the town rumor mill. Male age 50 – 60
Charlie Cowell – A traveling salesman who is on to Harold Hill’s schemes. Tirelessly attempts to prove to everyone the true con man behind Harold Hill. Male age 30’s – 50’s
Constable Locke – a stern policeman; bit-part. (In our production, may be asked to perform in the vocal ensemble, too, pending vocal abilities) Male age 35 – 60.
Train Conductor – business-like; bit-part. Male age 25 – 60. (May also be asked to perform in the vocal ensemble)
