Dylan Morrongiello

(Raoul de St. Brioche) Known for his “over-the-top committed” portrayals and “agile character tenor,” Dylan Morrongiello is an emerging tenor from Indialantic, Florida.

He has recently appeared as Goro in Madama Butterfly at Central City Opera; Don Basilio/Curzio in Le nozze di Figaro and Mr. Ford in Frida at Florida Grand Opera; and Schoolmaster/Mosquito in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen and Ali Hakim in Oklahoma! at The Glimmerglass Festival. Additionally, Dylan has made concert appearances with Bach Society Houston and Da Camera of Houston.

In November, Dylan makes his company debut with Cincinnati Song Initiative in an all-John Musto Program at Ithaca College.

Dylan was also a recent encouragement award winner in the Gulf Coast Region of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, after winning the Houston District in 2018. Other roles include Il Podestà (La finta giardiniera), Jazz Trio (Trouble in Tahiti), L’Aumonier and Chevalier de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites), King Kaspar (Amahl and the Night Visitors), and Tobias (Sweeney Todd).

Dylan is a proud alumnus of the Rice University Shepherd School of Music and the University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music.
